Engineering Steels - Tool steels
AISI A2: Air hardening cold work tool steel, with maximum dimensional stability during heat treatment, offering high abrasion resistance and good toughness. End use: Medium/long run – forming, blanking, and punching tools etc.
AISI D2: Air or oil hardening cold work tool steel, with maximum dimensional stability during heat treatment, offering very high abrasion resistance and hardness. End use: long run – deep drawing, forming, punching & slitting tools etc.
AISI H13: Air hardening hot work tool steel, offering good toughness and abrasion resistance, with high red hardness. It resists softening at temperatures up to 550°C. End use: Aluminium casting & extrusion dies, hot punches, etc
Other grades on request, subject to availability, mill minimum etc.
